Lunch break

I went on a bike ride during my lunch break.

I started behind the Waikiki-Kapahulu Public Library at the eastern end of the Ala Wai Canal.
I rode north on Kapahulu Avenue and then west on Date Street and found this bike path between Iolani School and the “big river” that flows into the canal.
I ended up at the intersection of Ala Wai Blvd. & the McCully Bridge. It was a ten minute ride each way at a very leisurely pace. I think the distance round trip is about 3 miles I have to figure it out for the next time.

Working on the hale day

*Pics from this past weekend late to post* worked on some neglected chores in and outside of the house on Sunday. Not what I really wanted to do but a productive day nonetheless.

My new favorite room of the house great for drinking coffee, reading the paper, and watching TV now that I’ve installed the roll-up shade.
Second bunch of bananas that my trees have produced the first bunch died on the stalk, hopefully this new one will mature and those black spots will not be any trouble.

Hey hey I ran today

Did a walk/run after work today and bonus it was not on a track changed it up by going on Ala Wai Blvd.  Ran a couple of two minute intervals, a minute thirty, maybe two sets of a minute forty five, and lots of walking. I can paddle the span of the Ala Wai I’m gonna work on running it too.

Heading west and snapped pic right before my first two minute interval.
Something different ran this span instead of paddling it.

Some exercise finally!

Paddled with the club yesterday for the first time in a long time. We even managed to fill the boat because three senior paddlers were at the launch hanging around. We paddled from our club to Waikiki-Kapahulu Public Library and back, it was a ragged paddle because of timing issues but for me I enjoy anytime spent in a boat.

Running

Don’t even remember the last time I ran but it was definitely before Christmas. Not as strong as a couple of weeks ago but I didn’t fall back very far. Gonna try and run at least twice a week with no layoffs.
